Te Araroa - Tag 47 - 49

🇩🇪 Tag 47-49: 77,9 km Palmerston North - Makahika Outdoor Pursuits Centre

Das Wichtigste vorab: Wir haben offiziell die Hälfte des Trails absolviert!! 🍾 Die letzten drei Tage ging es durch nativen Wald. Die ersten beiden Tage hat es immer mal wieder leicht genieselt, aber heute war es dann wieder etwas freundlicher. Es ging immer wieder auf und ab über schöne Wege, aber auch ab und zu matschige Abschnitte. Dabei hat es mich drei Mal schön in den Matsch geworfen. 🤷‍♂️ Heute war der Tag der Flussquerungen, ich habe bestimmt 15 Wasserläufe durchquert. Die kommenden Tage geht es dann über den Grat der Tararua Ranges, einer der anstrengendsten Abschnitte des Te Araroa.

Important things first: we officially passed the first half of the trail. 🍾 The last three days we went through native forest. The first two days it was drizzling off and on, but today it was a little friendlier again. It went up and down again and again over beautiful paths, but also muddy sections every now and then. It threw me into the mud three times. 🤷‍♂️ Today was the day of river crossings, I crossed at least 15 watercourses. The next few days we will travel over the ridge of the Tararua Ranges, one of the most strenuous sections of Te Araroa.Read more
