White Sands & Aquire Springs BLM

We made it to White Sands about mid afternoon. It was beautiful, just as I remembered it. Arlie had mentioned that the Gypsum sand is so white that it does not absorb any energy from the sun. I hadn't realized that but it was true.
We were able to walk barefoot on the softest finest sand in the heat of the day. Jay enjoyed running on the sand dunes too!

Afterwards; We drove to a very secluded campground outside Las Cruz, NM for the night. It was lovely.Read more
