Two Homes

I feel like I have 2 homes. Even though I don't have a house in Austin it still feels like home. David's here, my friends are here, I know my way around, it's home. I live in Seattle now but it only partially feels like home.

Wendy picked me up at the airport and we went out for lunch. Then she dropped me at David's. Friday David had his sinus surgery. He was pretty miserable afterwards. But today; Saturday, he was feeling a lot better. I went over to Wendy's in the afternoon and met her grandbaby who is adorable. I should have taken a photo of her. Just like Artemis, she has a lot to say. She's very cute but a little shy around strangers.

Then tonight I went to the Saturday Contra Dance. I knew almost everyone there! The band was very good and the dancing wasn't bad. I'm so glad I went. But on the way home I started tearing up. I really miss this dance community (and the rest of my friends). I definitely want to go again on Wednesday.Leggi altro
