Snow Day

We woke up to a couple of inches of snow on Wednesday. Artemis' daycare was cancelled and Odin school was on a delayed start schedule and even then only on zoom. It had been awhile since they'd used zoom so it sounded a little chaotic and then Odin's laptop wasn't charged and shut down. It took a bit to power up and longer for his teacher to notice and let him back into the "meeting".

It was a bit of a rough day and I got nothing done. Artemis was very cranky. Not sure if she still isn't feeling well or just learned how to cry for attention.

Today Odin is doing school on zoom. I can't say I'm pleased with how it's going. But he is also out of his ADHD medication which is probably contributing to his wandering.

And I am still doom scrolling. As of today, it looks like people are fighting back against the coup. But what's happening is so incredible. And I am sick to my stomach (or heart) at the but in to the propaganda. The indoctrination of the american public by the Fox 'news' pundits is so pervasive that many still believe that what is happening is GREAT! even my own brother continues to believe everything Fox tells him and claims all the real news reporting is "rediculous stuff from the liberal media" .

I guess 99.9 percent of my Facebook friends are "liberal" as it's only Steve's replies and posts that upset me. But I am shaking. If all his MAGA cohorts are like him, there is no reasoning with them. Even if we are on the road to a complete breakdown of democracy and society as we know it, they will never give up. I am beyond disgusted. I feel like I'm having a continuous panic attack.Meer informatie
