Hot Tea is not a thing in Mexico. Also Hot is not a thing. 'Hot food' tends to be luke warm if warm at all. And coffee barely warm in tiny cups! The tea on the flight was at least hot and it was the first cup of tea I'd had in a week, perhaps the longest time I've gone without tea since I reached adulthood. I think I am going to enjoy being home even if it is still winter . ☃️

I'm reading a book and I had to stop to copy this excerpt. It is perhaps the best and most articulate explanation of why I started this blog. :

"..... I've come to believe that experiences congealed when you talk about them, either with friends or in writing. To tell stories, you have to think about the significance of things that happen to you and their casual relationships, so that by recounting the events of your life to someone else, you reveal those events meanings."

Of course I'm not sure anyone would see any meaning in my little journal but I do find some amount of introspection as I recount the events of my days.

A perhaps fleeting thought the book has ignited, since it happens to be about a young woman's summer journey through a bunch of national parks......I was hoping to travel through some national parks on my way to Phoenix in March/April and since our lovely felon czar has cut funding for so many projects, and infrastructure AND fired a bunch of NP employees, perhaps the focus of my trip and writing should be the impact I see as I travel. At least that will give me a focus.
