Into Yellowstone!

Gorgeous drive from Cody to Fishing Bridge which is located by Yellowstone Lake. This drive followed the Shoshone River into a canyon setting. Steady rise in elevation. Lots of lodges, and campgrounds sprinkled along our route. Weather was clouding up and we very intermittent bits of rain.

Just short of the east entrance we had our first wildlife glimpse! You always know when you see multiple cars pulled over and people are out with cameras. There was a small group of big horn sheep. Pretty close to the road and did not seem to mind our presence.

On into the park, another 25 miles to our destination. But we enjoyed the drive with the last third or so following the lakeshore.Lue lisää
