Curtains, like fences, make good neighbors

When we are moving overnight I've been leaving the curtains and the French doors open while I sleep. I like the sound of the river and the nights are cool enough so I don't have to run the air conditioner. This morning I woke up and the river boat pictured above was tied up next to us. My doors lined up with a window of the other ship's dining room, and next to that window was a table with six Japanese eating breakfast. As I got out of bed, IN MY BOXERS, to close the drapes, the whole table smiled and waved at me. I did the polite thing , smiled and waved back as a pulled the drapes closed.Read more
