Hot, Sticky, and Nasty 🥵

It's strange how just a couple of days off the bike and in a bed with air conditioning can really spoil you. Today was well over 90°F from about 1000 to 2100. The humidity is crazy high; everything is wet. It's still about 85° in my tent with no air flow. I can feel sweat pouring off of me. I don't know if I'll get any rest tonight 😞.

I rode the Indiana 50 Rides byway and the Illinois Lincoln Highway, which took me all freaking day because of all the town, stop lights, and idiots. In bumper-to-bumper traffic in Joliet, one car decided they wanted to be in my lane. Even though I was right beside the driver's door, they just slowly pulled into the lane right on top of me and forced me into the yellow stripes. I really wanted to smash their mirror, but I figured I'd break my hand 🤣.

Around 2000, I dodged a fairly large storm by hiding in a carwash at a BP station. The attendant came out to shut it down for the night, but when I explained what I was doing, he let me stay. Nice guy👍. It never rained, but I would've had to ride straight through it, and I just wasn't up for it.

Ok. Let me try to sleep in this nasty, sticky, hot mess. 🤞
