Day 5

Twisties. All. Day. Long. I'm exhausted.

Right out of my country club parking lot sleep spot, it was twisties. On blacktop roads that eat your headlights. In fog so thick it felt like rain. And no roads had any paint. I literally had to stop several times to figure out where the road went 🤣😳

And I'm soaked. Terribly heavy rain and lightning hit me at 2000 on the nose and lasted for the next 30 minutes. I made it to dry roads when the second wave hit me...and it felt like a real wave hit me. Rain so heavy I couldn't see my directions, so I missed a turn that cost me about 10 miles. No biggie. But soaked tonight 😔 and will probably get rained on tonight as well. Hope this is all over this evening.
