On To Minnesota

I slept in a bit this morning (0600-ish), had breakfast at the hotel, packed up, and rolled out of Woodstock around 1000. Only 350 miles to get to Minneapolis where the 10 State HOG Touring Rally begins on the 17th.
I am still recovering both mentally and physically from the Hoka Hey. Only 350 miles today, but they hurt. My neck isn't rotating to either side without more pain than usual, my left knee still has an icepick in it, the heat rash on my face (and many other places) is still very itchy, and my feet hurt after only a few minutes on the bike. Despite wearing it into the shower, my riding suit is absolutely foul [I couldn't make it to the bathroom in time two days before the finish 😞], so I rode in just jeans, shirt, and vest today, which felt weird. My brain kept reading all the road signs, looking for nonexistent turns, even though I was using my GPS for routing. And I was just really tired. About halfway there I stopped for gas...and took off my helmet 😱, ate my food while I was there 😱, and checked my phone messages and emails 😱. I was there about 30 minutes 😱. 🤣.
Before checking into the hotel, I stopped by Walmart for a can of spray that is supposed to take the urine smell out of stuff. I'll let you know if it works on my suit 🤞🤞🤞.
Honestly, I am still flabbergasted at finishing 3rd. I just wanted to make the party. Mission accomplished 👍.
BTW, I plan to go back over my Hoka Hey posts to add my mileage like below and upload some pictures I took along the way. I'll also upload a view of my track, which is insane 🤣.
I was honored this evening to have a Guinness World Record rider call to congratulate me on the Hoka Hey. Pat Cornell recently finished a 200,000-mile year on his Indian motorcycle, an arduous, grueling feat of determination, resiliency, and tenacity. An absolutely incredible achievement accomplished by a wonderful person...even though he rides an Indian 😉.
