Today was a really short day and this is going to be a really short post...maybe 😉.
I picked a good place to sleep and woke up all by myself at 0530. With nowhere to pee, I went straight to Whataburger and hung out until the first sign of daylight. Then I made my way to the free ferry to cross over to Point Bolivar.
Once there I almost ran into a storm, so I hung out until I was pretty sure I wasn't going to get wet.
At around 1100, I started to run into the storm again, so I hung out for about an hour and a half under a gas station pump overhang.
When I made it to my lone Tour of Honor stop today, the First USO which is now the Civic Center, the Director Faith invited me inside, showed me around a bit, and mini-interviewed me with some pictures for their socials. Super nice!
At about 1430, after leaving Miss Faith, I felt my Laggin' Loggins Danger Zone sleepies beginning, so I hung out at another Whataburger until just after 1600. By now I had only gone 175 miles for the day!! 🤣🤣🤣.
Now I'm camped along the coast hoping it doesn't rain tonight, but I have the tent set up and my stuff inside in case I need to dive in. I'm doused in mosquito spray and ready to sleep until I wake up. No alarm for this kid tonight, baby!!!
Hope to see you on the road! Remember, NO WHINING! ✌️
Nancy Webb...Pat Bonetar🤷 On the Tour of Valor HOG Touring Rally, somewhere between Missouri and Wisconsin...maybe. Haven't really thought about it since I'm not stopping there.
