3 Days Early 🤦

Yesterday I posted that I gave myself 4 days to go 1,000 miles. I actually gave myself 7 days to go 1,000 miles 🤦. I don't know what I was thinking. Oh well.

Back to the start of the day and an explanation about the picture of my knee with red apots. That's what chiggers looks like. The only really bad thing about sleeping next to the bike is that there's no bathroom. So you basically have to drop your drawers and cop a squat. Apparently this morning I copped that squat in chiggers. Oh well.

Continuing Newton Week, today was another extremely short, boring day of riding. Other than the chiggers, I didn't have any issues with where I slept last night and I got some pretty good rest until the giant sun of a moon woke me up with its luminescence 🤣. Oh well.

Since I rolled at 0430, I would have gotten to Pensacola HD before they opened, so after grabbing my two Tour of Honor pictures, I popped into a Whataburger (shocking, I know 😉) for about an hour for breakfast and to kill some time. Then over to Harley, where I set up my computer inside, began talking with some of the staff, and discovered I was there three days early.

Sleeping behind a dealership for one night is one thing, staying there for 4 nights is another. I looked at some hotels in my very limited price range, and based on the Google Maps reviews 🤢, I decided I would rather camp by the bike. But then I met a guy who also arrived early for the rally and he told me about a nice hotel right down the street. And in my budget!

So here I am, having already gone to the grocery store, having already taken a nice hot then cold shower, and having already plopped my butt on the bed to partake in an adult beverage or four and mess with whomever didn't sign out of their Amazon Prime account on the TV 🤣. There's even a pool 👍. Life is good.
