Back On The Road

Oh, what an extraordinary time I had with my friends in Tennessee this week!! I got to join them on their inaugural boat launch and we had a lovely lunch with a great view. It was just so nice to be with them. Thank you again!!!

I begrudgingly left their home at 0800 heading towards Raleigh NC for the next State Capitol Building, as well as HDs, RTEs, and TOHs along the way.

I squiggled along US421 until I reached North Carolina. Put that one on your ride list!! It was terrific!!!

After stopping for lunch at a KFC, which was very disappointing (I'd like some chicken on my breading sandwich next time 🤢), I hit a torrential downpour that soaked me completely through. By the end of the day I had mostly dried except my undergarments and boots.

The best part of today is that another riding friend and I crossed paths near Raleigh and were able to share a hotel room! Yay! We're both taking the long way to Amarillo for the next rally. So cool to meet up on the go!!Thank you so much!!!

Other than the rain, it was a really great day!!
