Michael 1,268 vs. Semi 1

One of those fucking truck drivers finally got me. Don't worry though. I'm fine. Wasn't hurt at all. Barely moving, maybe 5 mph. I was in the right lane at a light and all I saw were headlights behind me, so I moved to the right to get out of the way. He went into the right shoulder and jumped a curb to pass me, but his front bumper caught my right side highway peg, lower fairing skin, handlebar, wind deflector, and upper fairing skin. This of course knocked me over to the left, so there's similar damage on that side, too 🤣😔. Best of all, he fled the scene. But I got his trailer number, which was a gravel hauler, and the cops did a Hit & Run report for me to give to insurance. The boys in blue (4 in 3 cars and 3 firefighters in the big truck, lucky me) suspected where he was going and probably a non-CDL driver, explaining the run. It didn't seem like they were going to do anything about it though. Oh well. I guess it happens pretty often with them. BTW, I was in Jackson MS having just exited off I-20. That's going to be an expensive Capitol Building photo 🤣😔. Well, for Progressive anyway 🤣😔.

The rest of the day was more dodging semis 🖕 on I-20 until I could turn north in Louisiana as I headed to Oklahoma City. My original route had me going directly through a huge thunderstorm rolling east through Texas so I rerouted and missed all of it 💪😀. But then...30 miles before Oklahoma City...another huge storm was moving straight towards me and moving fast. So I opted to go straight to my hotel room instead of the Capitol Building. I'll grab that in the morning.

Now I am in my $40 room 👍 hoping neither the storm nor the druggies nor the homeless people destroy the bike tonight. 🤞. I think it'll be okay. Michael's a tough guy 🤣🤣🤣.
