I felt so honored today. They literally applauded me for my 3rd place finish when I came into the store. So nice and completely unexpected. One guy congratulated me on being first. When I corrected him to third, he replied, "First woman finisher." Huh, I hadn't thought of it that way, but true. But I finished before more men than women 💪. How do you like them apples?! 🤣
My red gloves finally blew out, so I got a new pair of white 😱 ones today. Wonder how white they'll be in a month 🤦.
"Mom" at HD bought me a delicious salad for lunch.
Found my Hoka Hey brother Ron paid for my service today 😱. We'll be having a conversation about that tomorrow when I slap him 😉. I am incredibly fortunate to have so many loving, generous, and joyful people in my life.
Just about everybody at HD signed the bike and then we took a group photo with the Akichita.
Finally left HD at 1800 with new tires, new brake pads, new wheel bearings, and new heated grips. Not able to replace grips under warranty because they were damaged from the semi knock over. So thankful I replaced them now instead of waiting for insurance, though, because it's 34°F right now 😱🥶. No hotels because of leaf gazers, so I'm camping in the parking lot of a veterinary clinic. I'm warm enough except my piggies, but I'm sure they'll be okay since I'm wearing my boots inside my sleeping bag 🤣.
