LET THE (FUN AND) GAMES BEGIN!
Must admit that when we left the shuttle bus in the dark at the bottom of a sprawling Favela I was a little nervous that we would be killed before the adventure even really began. Fortunately we're still alive, woo!

We spent five days here instead of the booked three, because it was hard not to! Although our definition of 'hot water' differed somewhat from our host's, he went above and beyond in providing breakfast, lunch and dinner for us daily if we wanted it. Breakfast was just awesome.
