Ft. Sumter

After spending the night in our rather interesting Air BNB apartment, we got up early and headed to the Charleston harbor to catch the ferry out to Ft. Sumter. It was a very pretty day and it was cool to be able to see Charleston from the water. Given how adamant they have been about preserving the architecture of the city it is not a stretch to say that the city skyline looks much the same as it did a century ago. We saw the old flag that flew over the fort and learned a bit more about the people involved in the place that started the Civil War.Læs mere
