Yes, it is a not a big city but from what I have visited so far this looks like London. Buses, motorcycles, cars hundreds of tourists, noise..it is crazy but still beautiful. The Greek word εὔριπος eúripos is a commonly-used term when referring to a strait. The strait allowed ancient warships called triremes, with three tiers of rowers or more...long history and always linked to sailors. Very important stop also for all supplies.
