    Stranded in Antigua, Guatemala

    17 mars 2020, Guatemala ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

    Some of the students made it out of the country - barley.
    Some got stuck in the country where they where they had layover, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, etc.
    And some of us did not make it out. A quarantine coming is likely.
    I‘m doing very well. Since I am a at risk patient traveling now would be far more dangerous than staying put.
    The roads are empty, everything closed - beside the places for daily necessities. The president yesterday held two (!) press conferences, announcing all kind of measurements.
    I actually think they are doing a pretty good job. Also in tracking down and finding all of the 300 passengers of the flight last Friday. (Don’t wanna now how they did that).
    In my guest house we are six people. Today we went to the supermarket . People behaved very well, nobody grabbed more than necessary stuff! Some item were restricted to 1, everybody complied.

    We stocked up;
    - Tequila
    - cleaning stuff
    - snacks
    - Monopoly and charade which we will play in Spanish. So much fun!

    I’m in very good spirits! The country is closed until 31. March, then we’ll see further.

    Cheers
    Claudia
