Holdsbrook Island

We got up, did some boat chores, enjoyed the warmth, and eventually headed into the boatyard to pay for the mooring, and slipped away from Benjamin River up the Eggemoggin Reach, put out the sails and turned off the engine for a few hours. We sailed under Deer Isle Bridge and rounded the point, but the lobster pots got to intense so we turned on the engine again and motor sailed to Holdsbrook Island.
From our anchorage we could see Castine, but unfortunately we dragged most of the night. Always an unpleasant sound listening to the anchor drag!Read more
