Tell es-Sultan

Jericho is west of Jerusalem near the start of Dead Sea, about 305m below sea level. The town in below sea level. It is in a quite barren looking area but still produces good quantity of crops.
There is a Tel (ruin) of the old city that Joshua was commanded to destroy when they first entered the Promised Land.Read more
