Cite de Carcassonne

We are bidding France farewell and heading for Spain. To break the journey we decided to stop off at Carcassonne a medieval, walled city not to far above the border. The medieval cite is only part of the city of Carcassonne, but it was all that we had time for in our flying visit. It is pretty impressive and quite pleasant in this off season. We think it might be a bit crazy in the summer. Another hill settled a couple of hundred years BC and then occupied by the Romans and then the catholics, a familiar refrain. People still live in the cite, but it would be a strange place to live for sure.Okumaya devam et
