Chateau Comtal

Back to the Cite de Carcassonne today to investigate the Chateau Comtal. This chateau wasn't part of the original cite, but as times became more fraught, the chateau became more heavily fortified. In the end it wasn't enough, but the effort was impressive.
We did walk down along the Aude River to city of Carcassonne for a quick look. But we were really here for the cite. I needed more space for photos, but what can I do?Read more
