    Snow in Denver

Last night’s flight to Denver was bumpy for most of the way. As we were landing they made a single announcement about baggage, but as tired as I was I didn’t get most of it. The plane landed safely at 12:05am. So I went to baggage claim. There were four chairs (already occupied) for the entire baggage claim area the bag should have come to. After waiting 45 minutes, only one bag showed up and it wasn’t mine. I checked with the person on desk duty for United, but she couldn’t find it and said it was most likely scheduled to go on this morning’s flight. So I headed for the hotel they had arranged for us.
My head hit the pillow at 1:30 am and I tossed and turned for about an hour before falling asleep. The complimentary breakfast was less than excellent. They had instant oatmeal, but no hot water. There was no butter for the waffles. No eggs and sausage. No juice of any kind. These are all items available at the hotel in Santa Fe and most every hotel I have ever stayed in.
I checked the United app for my baggage and it did indicate it was checked through to Reno, so hopefully it will be there when I get there. Last night, I tried to check in for the flight, but the app wanted a credit card. But I don’t carry the online card. So I will have to check in when I get back to the airport.
I was able get my boarding pass with little difficulty. My backpack had to go through the scanner twice because they thought the misc chargers, cables and battery was a computer. But I had removed the laptop and iPad to a separate bin. After boarding the plane for Reno, I checked on the status of the baggage and found it had been loaded on my plane. Returning to Reno was uneventful. Home again!
