The Big Nothing

We got on the road by 8:30!! This is not us…9:30 maybe, usually 10:00. There is a lot of nothing between last night’s stay and Winnamuca. Our usual 3 hour drive turned into 5. Actually 6 hours as we stopped and rested for lunch in the big town of McDermitt on the Oregon/Nevada border. Coffee, cookies and a nap. Funny thing is there is an area in this nothing where the time changes to mountain time, then right back to Pacific at the border. There is also a lot of straight road on US 95. Took Chat GPT recommendations versus Google for the route. Staying at the New Frontier RV park again. Quiet and easy in and out.Read more
