Competition Day

It blew hard most of the night with some heavy down pours but woke up to the sun out with a bit of a breeze, Locky and Em and the kids arrived late last night and Sas and Cal arrived at 7:30 this morning, Teresa, Locky and Daniel had the first run of the day, so they got busy saddling up and I went and set up the PA system, got a 8:30 start and the cattle were a bit feral and they had a bit of a job ahead of them with no cattle penned and that trend followed for a bit till the cattle got in to the groove, Sas, Locky, Daniel got 1 cow in and Sas, Teresa, Mel did no good in their run. The afternoon runs were much better with Sas, Locky, Daniel & Teresa, Locky, Daniel getting all 3 in good time and Teresa, Sas, Mel penning 2 cattle.
All done by 4 o’clock, was time for bevies then and presentation, surprise for Locky, Sas, Daniel getting 6th place with 4 cattle penned for the day, roast dinner for tea in the shed then drinks around the big fire, into bed at 10:30 been a big day getting wind blown.Читать далее
