Salton Lake CA

An ancient salt water lake in the middle of desert. Every few 100 years it is refilled as the Colorado river changes course then slowly evaporates and shrinks. Pretty desolate. Salton City on the west shore has maybe 50 houses but streets and power lines laid out for more like 30000 hones. Big plans that ground to a halt years ago.Read more
