Our Home for a Bit

Howard Johnson Inn will be home for a couple weeks. Nice 25C - 30C day temps and cooler nights. Will day trip the area and just chill mostly. Looking for a big reset button 😊
Holtville Hot Spring

Rustic little hot pools from natural spring. Very hot mineral waters. In the middle of the desert, but right beside the highway.
'Billabong' at Holtville Hot Spring

Picturesque pond adjacent to the hot pools. Very cold water but sure looks peaceful.
Desert!

Miles and miles of sand dune desert with the highway straight through it. Stopped at a rest area...
Locals hit the dunes in dune buggies big time on weekends.
Yuma Prison Cemetery

Quintessential 'cemetery on a hill' where all those who died in custody rest in peace. Each grave makes by a pile I'd rocks...

Date Farm

Medjool dates are a popular crop. Sell from about USD2.50 a pound - $10.00/kg NZ. Yummy!
Palm trees very healthy as a result of plenty of watering.
Agriculture

Salton City CA

An almost abandoned city beside the lake. RV park is popular and this quaint cafe
