Final day - Santiago!

Today was a short one, just 15km. I woke up early and decided to set out after breakfast at the albergue, so I was walking out of Sigüeiro by 7am. I walked alone today with my own Camino thoughts and reflections. It was cool and misty and I decided on an alternate route that got me off the road and into a forested area. Nice. My legs are tired and sore and I’ve had a very painful big toe that kept me preoccupied much of the morning.
It was great to walk into Santiago again, now my familiar “home”. Jessica and Lee were behind me by about an hour and we all met up to celebrate on the cathedral plaza, with Margaret to meet us. 😊
We had a good lunch, a menu del DIA with scallops, hake, and a torte for dessert. Then went to the pilgrim office for our Compostela.
Now Lee and I are wandering around before catching the 5:00 bus back to Muxia. Home and my own bed!!
