Mineral Belt

Heute haben wir ein Stück des Mineral Belt Rundwegs rund um Leadville bewandert. Wir erreichen eine Höhe von rund 3200m, hier merkt man ganz deutlich das die Luft schon echt dünn ist.
Welch schöne Aussichten wir immer wieder genießen dürfen. Immer wieder weisen Infotafeln auf die historische Bergbaugeschichte der Umgebung hin. Hier wurde sehr viel Eisenerz und Silber abgebaut.

Today we hiked a part of the Mineral Belt circuit around Leadville. We reach an altitude of about 10500ft, here you notice quite clearly that the air is already really thin.
