Donauursprung

In Donaueschingen befindet sich der Donauursprung. Ein Fluss ohne Quelle? Im Gegensatz zu fast allen anderen Flüssen hat die Donau keine eindeutig definierte Quelle. Durch den Zusammenfluss der zwei kleineren Flüsse Breg und Brigach beginnt der mächtige Strom der 2857 km später in einem großen Delta in das Schwarze Meer mündet. Dort in der Nähe waren wir schon, nicht jedoch hier am Ursprung.
Ferner kann der Ort mit einem tollen Schlosspark und der prächtigen St.Johann Kirche glänzen.

The source of the Danube is located in Donaueschingen. A river without a source? Unlike almost all other rivers, the Danube has no clearly defined source. The confluence of two smaller rivers, the Breg and the Brigach, marks the beginning of the mighty stream that flows 1775 mls later in a large delta into the Black Sea. We have already been there in the vicinity, but not here at the source.
