El Calafate - Parque Naci. Los Glaciares

Today was my visit to the Glaciar Perito Moreno.

Since I do not stay in a hotel or hostel, but at a private address, I could not be picked up by bus like the other guests, and had to take a taxi to their headquarters.
After we had collected all the guests, we drove to the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares.

We stopped at the only restaurant in the park, next to many other buses and cars, and had a few hours here to see the glacier from afar and to buy a little snack.

I drank a hot chocolate, ate a Medialuna (Argentinian croissant), and bought a little magnet as a memory before we were picked up by the bus again. At the edge of the lake, a ship was waiting for us to take us to the glacier on the other side.

I even had the possibility to navigate the ship for a while and share Mate tea with the captain.Read more
