    Spiekeroog

    June 16, 2017 in Germany

... and I need one more footprint for just a few more pictures.. :)

This part of the beach was our last stop, before we took the ferry back to the mainland. This was our first daytrip to the Northsea and esp. to a German island, but even though it was just for a day, we really enjoyed it and definitely will do it again. Of course it would also be nice to stay a few nights. Spiekeroog seems like a perfect place to clear your mind. :)Read more

    Spiekeroog

    June 16, 2017 in Germany

While the weather wasn't perfect, the seascape had it's very own charme and even though it was cloudy and windy, it was still beautiful. I love the wicker beach chairs (called "Strandkorb"), which are typical for the German coastal areas. If I'll have a house and a garden someday, I'd love to get a Strandkorb for it. :)Read more

    Spiekeroog

    June 16, 2017 in Germany

Our first visit ever to one of the German Northsea islands. We decided on Spiekeroog, because the ferry schedule was good for us, and tbh we had no great expectations at all. We just had a free day and wanted to spend it by the sea. :)

So when we arrived at Spiekeroog and walked through the little village we fell in love instantly. These pictures show why. :)Read more

    San Jose Sleep inn

March 31, 2017 in Costa Rica

We spent our last night in San Jose again, where we met a wonderful person, who we can now call our friend. Long story short, Postcrossing brought us together and although we are totally different people, of different age, different heritage, we got along really well and had a great time together, talking for hours. What a great and unforgettable evening! :)

After one last Gallo Pinto breakfast we went to the airport and that was it. After a stop in Panama city and another 10 hours flight, we landed safely in Amsterdam - with a LOT of new awsome memories. Pura Vida! :)

    Playa Espadilla Norte, Manuel Antonio

March 30, 2017 in Costa Rica

On our last day, after a fantastic breakfast and before our transfer back to San Jose, and with only 30 minutes to spare, we went to the beach one last time. It was just too nice to not go again. I got a fresh coconut and we just took in the view. #vitaminsea :)

On our way to San Jose, around Jaco, we were so very lucky, to see two red Aras flying in the air - yay! No picture proof though, the moment went by way too quickly. :(Read more

    Manuel Antonio National Park

March 29, 2017 in Costa Rica

(3/3) .. On the way out we were lucky to see some more animals: raccoons, more monkeys and -yay- more sloths. <3

Around sunset we went to Playa Espadilla Norte again. It was already our last night "on the road" and we were definitely not ready to say goodbye yet. :/

    Manuel Antonio National Park

March 29, 2017 in Costa Rica

(2/3) On the way back from the view point, we came by Playa Las Gemelas, where we only stayed for a few minutes, then we went back to the main beaches, Playa Manuel Antonio and Playa Espadilla Sur. This last one is the one I -again- lost my heart to. There were close to no people there and it was just so beautiful. <3

The hubs went snorkeling in the pacific bath tub at Playa Manuel Antonio and I just went for a quick swim, before we had to leave the park....
