Breakfast in the hostel this morning then onward bound. Forecast for rain around 15:00 today plus we need to break today’s leg into two as it’s too far to walk to Scarborough, explore and enjoy it. So we have found a campsite at a place called Staintondale and booked a little glamping pod for the night.
So the campsite was a couple of miles of the track, making our way through a few fields, feasting on blackberries and getting our legs battered by briars we eventually got here.
It’s a great wee spot, there’s a shower ‘block’ (with a kettle). So we used this luxury kettle to cook our dinner rather than using our stove. True to form it did rain so we sat indoors at our table /bed looking out. Next we decided on a ‘movie night’ so we made the bed up and sat for a couple of hours with me holding up my iPhone as we watched Manifest on Netflix 😄😄
Need to add that we didn’t have any towels so we had to wash with a sock and dry off with a neck buff 🤣 don’t really recommend but it did the job.Read more
