Museu D'Art Modern De Tarragona

Last day of driving around in van No 2. Left Valencia and set off for the 300+kms to Barcelona. We stopped off at Tarragona around lunch time to visit the Roman Circus! Some Roman ruins and a view down to the Med.
Off to Barcelona to the final leg of our visit to Spain. We have six nights here, so a little bit of time to see sone sights. Tour Taylor’s have pre purchased lots of tickets, so we will be kept busy.
The drive into Barcelona was hair raising, to say the least. Euan & David managed to stay calm!!!
They even managed to navigate us to the hotel street. I jumped out to check where the building was, then we threw all the bags and packs out leaving Euan & Anton to take the van back to Avis. The rest of us went through the check-in process, which seemed very complicated. It’s a H10 hotel so we were offered the a class of bubbles or cranberry juice on arrival. The guys took about two hours to return the car, with all sorts of hassle, but they got it back intact👍. We clocked up 1748kms in Spain. (Portugal total was 2120kms ) ,
Time to celebrate the safe return of the van and have dinner. Barcelona has a pop. of 1.6 million. Most of them were out socialising when we went for dinner. Luckily we found a street restaurant where the meals were ok. People watching was intriguing.Read more
