From oceanfront brunch to mountaintop views—Maui gave us both in one day. After a relaxed brunch at Mala Ocean Tavern in Lahaina—where island flavors met the Pacific Ocean—we set out on the 38-mile drive up the Haleakalā Highway. It took just over three hours, winding through lush Upcountry, past forests, ranches, and into the clouds. Our family of four watched the world change with every curve.
