MT25, Tag 23-24: Lofoten & Bodø

Also machen wir doch auf touristisch ... die Lofoten.

Wir fahren auf der E10 fast bis ans Ende der Lofoten. Auf diesen Inseln wechseln sich Karibik- mit Alpengefühlen ab, Sandstrände, Berge, Meer, Wasserfälle und dazwischen immer wieder die pittoresken Häuschen.

Es ist schön, aber es ist auch viel los. Abends müssen wir einsehen, dass es unmöglich ist, eine Hütte oder ein Hotelzimmer zu finden, alles ist ausgebucht. Also Nacht im Zelt obwohl viel Regen angesagt ist.

Morgens noch immer Regen, also im Zelt zusammenpacken, Motorradkombi und Regensachen anziehen, das Motorrad bepacken und dann noch das Zelt nass einpacken 😮‍💨
Aber jetzt weiß ich dass wir auch im Regen aufbrechen können, auch wenn es keinen Spaß macht.

Der Seegang auf der Fahrt von den Lofoten nach Bodø war recht heftig ... jetz wissen wir auch wieso wir die Motorräder anschnallen mussten. Etliche Passagiere mussten sich übergeben. Marcus hatte Spaß daran, an Deck zu gehen und sich dem schwankenden Schiff hinzugeben, mir gings zwar nicht schlecht, aber gut auch nicht, drum hab ich drinnen ein wenig geschlafen.

In Bodø regnet es noch immer, wir beschließen das Fahren heute sein zu lassen und gehen ins Hotel. Dort wird mal das Zelt in die Dusche gehängt damit es trocknen kann.
Bodø war letztes Jahr Kulturhauptstadt, davon merken wir aber nicht viel. Allerdings haben wir sehr gute nordische Fischsuppe gegessen.

So let's be touristy ... at the Lofoten Islands.

We drive on the E10 almost to the end of Lofoten. On these islands, Caribbean alternate with Alpine feelings, sandy beaches, mountains, sea, waterfalls and, in between, the picturesque houses.

It's beautiful, but there are also loads of people. In the evening we realize that it is impossible to find a cabin or a hotel room, everything is fully booked. So, a night in the tent, although the forecast says that it will rain a lot during the night.

It is still raining in the morning, so we pack up in the tent, put on the motorcycle and rain gear, pack the bags onto the motorcycles and then pack the wet tent 😮‍💨
But now I know we can also leave in the rain, even if it's not fun.

The sea on the way from the Lofoten to Bodo were quite rough ... now we also know why we had to strap on the motorcycles. Several passengers had to vomit, they didn'tlike the shaking. Marcus enjoyed going on deck and surrendering to the swaying ship, I didn't feel bad, but I didn't, so I slept a little inside.

Since it is still raining in Bodo, we decide to let the driving be today and go to the hotel. There, we hang the tent into the shower so that it can dry.
Last year, Bodo was the capital of culture, but we don't notice much about that. However, we ate very good Nordic fish soup.Read more
