Buenos Aires, Rommy & Alexis

Nach einigen Jahren sehe ich endlich Rommy und Alexis wieder. Quasi Tante und Cousin. 🤗 Alexis ist extra aus Rosario angereist. Wir treffen uns in San Telmo zum Essen, bevor wir ins Stadtzentrum fahren und einregnen. Ich höre von den ungefähr 126% Inflation pro Jahr (und die nicht erst seit gestern), dem Auswandern derer, die es können und den nicht wirklich rosigen Aussichten im Allgemeinen. Beide helfen mir, meine Sim Card fürs Handy ins Laufen zu kriegen und beim Geldtausch. Alles etwas anders hier. 🫣😉

After a few years I finally see Rommy and Alexis again. Almost aunt and cousin. 🤗 Alexis came all the way from Rosario. We'll meet up in San Telmo for lunch before heading downtown and get into the rain. I'm hearing about the roughly 126% annual inflation (and not just since yesterday), the migration of those who can, and the not-so-rosy outlook in general.
