Washington, Capitol Hill

Im kleinen Museum im Kapitol kann man super nachvollziehen, wie die Stadt am Reißbrett entstanden ist und langsam gefüllt wurde. Ausserhalb des Kapitols liegen mit der Library of Congress und dem Obersten Gerichtshof weitere beeindruckende Gebäude in Wurfweite. Durch die Hitze gehts es am späten Nachmittag Richtung Hafen runter. Es gibt Fish&Chips auf der Hafenmauer.

In the small museum in the Capitol, you can really understand how the city came into being on the drawing board and was slowly filled in reality. Outside of the Capitol, other impressive buildings are within walking distance, including the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. Due to the heat, I head down towards the harbor in the late afternoon. There is fish and chips on the harbor wall.Leia mais
