New York, Hudson River Park

Der Hudson River Park ist ein Uferpark am (Überraschung) Hudson River, der sich von der 59sten Strasse nach Süden bis zum Battery Park erstreckt. Der Park, ein Bestandteil des Manhattan Waterfront Greenway, erstreckt sich über 7,2 km und umfasst 220 ha und ist damit nach dem 341 ha großen Central Park der zweitgrößte Park in Manhattan.
Es ist wirklich gemütlich, hier spazieren zu gehen, die Freiheitsstatue immer im Blick, umgeben von Joggern und anderen entspannten Menschen, nur ein paar Straßen von Downtown Manhattan entfernt. Es gibt viele kostenlose Sportmöglichkeiten, wie zum Beispiel kostenlose Tennisplätze, Basketballplätze, gratis Kanufahren usw. Immer wieder kommen Spielplätze und kostenlose Toiletten. Einfach großartig!!

Hudson River Park is a waterfront park on the North River (Hudson River) that extends from 59th Street south to Battery Park. The park, a component of the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway, stretches 4.5 miles (7.2 km) and comprises 550 acres (220 ha), making it the second-largest park in Manhattan after the 843-acre (341 ha) Central Park.
It was really amazing walking here, surrounded by joggers and other relaxed people, just a few streets away from Downtown Manhattan. They setup a lot of free sporting activities, such as free tennis courts, Basketball fields, free canoeing, etc. Playground and free toilets along the way. Simply great!!Read more
