Cat Ba Island, National Park Museum

Aaalso, die Bilder hier sind für alle Ossis, die mitlesen… Nach Abendessen und ereignislosem Abendspaziergang durch Cat Ba Stadt geht’s am nächsten Morgen zum Nationalpark. Auf dem Weg dorthin sehe ich den Hinweis zu einer Hospital Cave. Eine Höhle, die im Vietnamkrieg als Krankenhaus genutzt wurde. Die schauen wir aber leider nicht an. Wir fahren zum Nationalpark und gehen dort direkt in das Museum dort. Und ich kriege einen Flash-Back in meine Schulzeit. Das Museumsgebäude erinnert mich stark an die Ost-Neubauschulen. (Hiermit Grüße an‘s Karl-Friedrich-Schinkel-Gymnasium Neuruppin! 😊✊🏻). Genauso heimelig und ansprechend ausgestattet. Herrlich, ich will da gar nicht mehr raus.

Soooo, the pictures here are for all East Germans who are reading along... After dinner and an uneventful evening walk through Cat Ba town, we head to the national park the next morning. On the way there I see the sign for the „hospital cave“. A cave that was used as a hospital during the Vietnam War. Unfortunately we don't look at it. We drive to the national park and go straight to the museum there. And I get a flashback to my school days. The museum building reminds me strongly of the new built GDR schools in the 1980ies. (Greetings to the Karl-Friedrich-Schinkel-Gymnasium Neuruppin! 😊✊🏻). Just as homely and attractively furnished. Great, I don't want to go out there anymore.Read more
