Angkor, Ta Prohm Temple

… und hier kommt mein absoluter Lieblingstempel. Von dem hab ich null Vorstellung gehabt und dann das. Einer der schnell Dahingeschusterten, weil einer von 100… Also ist hier auch schnell wieder viel in sich zusammen gefallen. Man sieht an den Steinen, dass sie teils von anderen Tempeln geklaut wurden. Die Löcher zum Tragen durch Baumstöcke sind einfach sichtbar, was in Angkor Wat ein no-go gewesen wäre. Und da die Anlage mal ein paar hundert Jahre lang verlassen war, sieht man hier, wie schnell sich die Natur ihr Land wieder zurückkrallt. Krallen ist hier wörtlich zu nehmen. Unglaubliche Stein-Baum-Konstellationen. Herrlich. Hier wurde wohl auch was vonnTomb Raider gedreht, für die, die sich (im Gegensatz zu mir) damit auskennen.

... and here comes my absolute favorite temple. I had no idea what to expect and then this. One of the temples that was quickly thrown together because it was one out of 100... So a lot of things quickly fell apart again. You can see from the stones that some of them were stolen from other temples. The holes for carrying through tree stumps are simply visible, which would have been a no-go at Angkor Wat. And since the complex was abandoned for a few hundred years, you can see how quickly nature claws back its land. Clawing is to be taken literally here. Incredible stone-tree constellations. Splendid.
