Indonesien besteht aus 17.508 Inseln, ich war kurz auf 2 davon. Indonesien hat über 274 Millionen Einwohner und ist damit der viertbevölkerungsreichste Staat der Welt. Ich habe davon vielleicht 50 getroffen. Indonesien ist außerdem das Land mit der weltweit größten Anzahl an Muslimen, das merkte man auf Java. Bali hat hingegen 90% Hindus. Merkt man auch. Ich erlaube mir also bei weitem kein Urteil als folgende Bemerkungen: In Indonesien sind die Leute, wie schon zuvor in Sri Lanka, unglaublich offen und nett. Lächelst du jemanden auf der Strasse an, kommt ein Lächeln zurück. Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Wetter meistens auch. Der Verkehr ist links und von aussen chaotisch, in Realität habe ich genau ein zerbeultes Auto gesehen. Die Menschen legen eine unglaubliche Kreativität an den Tag wenn es darum geht, Lasten mit dem Mofa zu transportieren. Es besteht eine Helmpflicht, die aber von einigen weiterhin ignoriert wird. Besonders für die mitfahrenden Babys und Kinder. Viele Indonesier haben vielleicht keine höhere Ausbildung, wissen aber im Regelfall alle, wie man ein Mofa repariert oder ein Haus baut. Viele versuchen, Englisch zu sprechen, Rest ist Zeichensprache. 🤗 Familienzusammenhalt wird groß geschrieben. Religion spielt eine wichtige Rolle. Die Landschaft ist unglaublich schön, obwohl bestimmte Ecken gerade in kleinen/mittleren Ortschaften vollgemüllt sind und das alles ab und zu verbrannt wird. Smog ist ein Thema. Auf Bali konnte man vor 15 Jahren noch vom Retreat-Dorf das Meer sehen, heute quasi nicht mehr. Und es gibt Überlegungen, die Hauptstadt von Jakarta auf eine kaum frequentierte Insel umzusiedeln. Na denn. Fazit: so oder so, da muss ich nochmal hin! 🥰

So I don't allow myself to make any judgment other than the following comments: In Indonesia, as in Sri Lanka, the people are incredibly open and nice. If you smile at someone on the street, a smile will come back. The food is very good and the weather is usually too. The traffic is on the left and chaotic from the outside, in reality I saw exactly one damaged car. People show incredible creativity when it comes to transporting loads on mopeds. There is a requirement to wear a helmet, but some people continue to ignore it. Especially for the babies and children traveling with them. Many Indonesians may not have a higher education, but they generally all know how to repair a moped or build a house. Many try to speak English for tourists, the rest use sign language. 🤗 Family solidarity is very important. Religion plays an important role. The landscape is incredibly beautiful, although certain corners, especially in small/medium-sized towns, are full of rubbish and everything is burned every now and then. Smog is an issue. In Bali 15 years ago you could still see the sea from the retreat village, but today you can hardly see it anymore. And there are considerations about moving the capital from Jakarta to a rarely visited island. Well then. Conclusion: either way, I have to go there again!Читать далее
