Estella has a significant Jewish History along with significant history of wars and travesty. Many Spanish people from this area fled to America during the Spanish Civil War
Los Arcos

Today was a windy but beautiful Day. The landscape is changing from mountains to more arid conditions and lots of farmland. The wild herbs along the trail was cool. A lot of Thyme and Lavender.
Lagrona Beginning of week 2

It was a long day today. 9 hours of walking close to 20 miles. Ups and downs, they call it the knee breaker section. 😳

It has been another long two days. Our bodies are getting used to it, but at the end of our 9-10 hours of walking we are ready to get off our feet. 🙂
San Juan De Ortega and Burgos

The road to San Juan De Ortega was tough. We climbed up a small mountain and and about 10 miles ish with no towns. High winds, thunder, rain and hail. But.. Burgos is amazing.

Today was another long, but beautiful day as we left the plains, climbed and descended a mountain into a new world as we enter the soul phase of the Camino.

It's been cold with heavy rains the past couple of days so not a lot of pictures.

We took two days to explore the town where Marias Grandfather came from. It was a blessing to be there. Do much history and the monastery museum was mind blowing with the unique artifacts.
