    Punta Arenas

    Contining on from our hike we headed to Puerto Natales for a comfort break then Punta Arenas a city near the tip of Chile's southernmost Patagonia region. Located on the Strait of Magellan, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, it's often used as base for excursions to the surrounding wilderness and Antarctica. The Plaza Muñoz Gamero has a memorial to explorer Ferdinand Magellan, and the Museo Nao Victoria features a replica of one of his galleons.
    The locals celebrate Halloween by ghoulishly dusfiguring their cars then racing them around the streets for 3 hours! Took a few photos before we met up for dinner at a fab restaurant. Only spent a few hours here!    Read more
