Coco Bongo

It took a bit of convincing all round but we decided to listen to the hype and buy tickets to the infamous Coco Bongo show that's held every night at Playa Del Carmen and Cancun.

Tickets are USD$55 each with an open bar and free t-shirt. Doors open at 10pm and we get swarmed with drinks and shots before we even finish walking through the hallway to get to the ballroom.

We arrived pretty early (after chomping down pizza) and have a good spot on one of the tiers. The waiters are almost begging us to down more booze. It's still 1.5 hours before the show kicks off but the atmosphere is already pumping. A dwarf dressed as 'the mask' is dancing on the lower stage surrounded by ladies.

It's showtime and the performances all live up to the hype! Numerous shows including Madonna, MJ, Lou Bega, Phantom of the Opera, Batman, Tron, Beyoncé and others entertain the crowd. Inbetween the shows its turns into a nightclub and the drinks keep on flowing.

It's 3am and time to head back to our hotel after another feed of pizza and ice cream. Well done Coco Bongo - you impressed usもっと詳しく
