Tarantulas

The walk continued deeper into the forest. We came across the plant of Hakka Hakka a hallucinogenic species. Miguel showed us how to use it to get a high. The plant needs to be scraped just above the root to get the smell and then to inhale it deeply.
We also saw huhe trees that form the main canopy of the rainforest.
In an area near a stream, we saw many tarantula burrows. Miguel tried coaxing out some of them by simulating some movement near the hole mouth. We saw 3 of them. One of them was as big as the palm of my hand.Read more
