    Temple of Pilcocaina is the only surviving remains of the huge, pre-Incan city of Tiahuanco, now buried beneath the waters of Titicaca.
    The stonework is quite rough. There are many triple-recessed entrances, recesses and domes in small rooms. They all form quite a labyrinth with paths going in and out, half a level up and down. The number three was very important to the Incas so triple-recessed entrances and alcoves would have had special significance.En savoir plus
