Lagoons near the beach

After the Lluta valley, we arrived at the road going South to Arica along the coast. There were lagoons of freshwater at 2 places just a stone throw away from the ocean side. These places were rich eating grounds for a lot of birds. There were many vultures as well soaking the sun rays.
Along the coast was a reed boat Virakocha III being constructed for a trip to Australia. This project is being funded by a rich Bolivian trying to validate that it was possible to sail across the oceans in the reed boats.Read more
