To Laguna Morales

After about another hour and 20 min, we reached the Laguna Morales. The path had been green and pink all the while. The ascent had been slow and gentle.

A bit further from the colored springs, we came across some very beautiful pink flowers covering the hillside. They were spread all over like a carpet of pink on the green grassy hills.

About 15 min walk from the Aguas Panimavida, we came across more colored springs. Here too, the water was cold. The colors looked amazing in the lofty mountainous background.

We were at the lake till almost 6:30 pm and then we decided to drive towards the Colinas Thermas. The plan was to find a place somewhere near the hot springs and stay there for the night.

Up in the mountains

After lunch we started the climb up the 1st chain of the Andes. Soon, we were more than 2000 mts above sea level. The scenery changed to that of high mountains and the air was much more clearer.
